Know and Experiencing God’s Love
Ephesians 3:16-18 - New Living Translation
16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand,
God’s love is so great that you don’t have to saved to experience God’s love
That’s probably why you got saved
Many people have a wrong impression and understanding of who God and His character is
John 4:24 - New King James Version
24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
1 John 4:7-8 - Amplified Bible
7 Beloved, let us [unselfishly] [a]love and seek the best for one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves [others] is born of God and knows God [through personal experience]. 8 The one who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love. [He is the originator of love, and it is an enduring attribute of His nature.]
We are born love children of a love God
Everyone born again has this Nature of God is in you, and God is love
Some have wrapped it in a napkin and buried it, not exercising it. Bu they still have it (not walking in it)
If we allow our outward man/flesh to dominate us, that love nature in our hearts is kept prisoner
1 John 4:15-17 - New King James Version
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
(known) We have experienced His love
Make a spiritual adjustment down on the inside man where love lives to dominate the inside man
1 John 4:18 - New Living Translation
18 Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
Allow God to dominate my being- God is Love
God is a spirit, let the spirit of Love dominate me
Romans 8:37-39 - New King James Version
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Believing the love God has for me & you
No matter the weapon, attack, circumstance, I believe God’s love is greater
It’s going to work for our good; God is going to make this turn out in my favor
Love is force to activate and bring on the scene
Why? Because Love never Fails, you win
Romans 5:5 - Amplified Bible
5 Such hope [in God’s promises] never disappoints us, because God’s love has been abundantly poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
God’s love poured, shed, put, inserted into my heart
Learn to let this love dominate me
My new nature is love, it’s natural for me to walk in love
Galatians 5:22 - Amplified Bible
22 But the fruit of the Spirit [the result of His presence within us] is love [unselfish concern for others], joy, [inner] peace, patience [not the ability to wait, but how we act while waiting], kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
First fruit of the spirit is love
John 15:5 - Amplified Bible
5 [a]I am the Vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him bears much fruit, for [otherwise] apart from Me [that is, cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.
Fruit of my recreated spirit (born again) of God Spirit
Love Fruit grows on the branch; It doesn’t come fully mature
John 13:34-35 - Amplified Bible
34 I am giving you a new commandment, that you [a]love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.”
Biggest witnessing tool is love one another
Jesus laid down his life to prove his love for you & me
Love law of the love family is love one another AS I have loved you
Creating an atmosphere of love
1 John 3:14 - New Living Translation
14 If we love our brothers and sisters who are believers,[a] it proves that we have passed from death to life. But a person who has no love is still dead.
God kind of love not interested in what I can get, but I can give
The world will know us by our love
I will let the unselfish love of God pour through me to others
As all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.
