SUNDAY SERMON

Prayer Warriors May 17th

Opening Scripture-  9am Prayer

“If My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
— 2 Chronicles 7:14

Points to Consider and Ponder throughout the week:

  • pray slowly and sincerely, 

  • listen for the Lord’s direction, 

  • read scripture aloud, 

  • and leave moments for silence and reflection.

  • I am giving an order of service with one bible verse of guidance with prayer points

    • Feel free to add to it as the Holy Spirit leads you

  • There are 6 Prayer points as guidance lets plan on 5 minute sections (30 mins total)

    • This is just for guidance, if the anointing of the Holy Spirit drops upon you or the sanctuary, just flow —Don’t worry about the 5 min limit this is not meant to be church as usual 

100% Patriotic but Christ-Centered 

When you acknowledge America and our leaders:

  • keep Jesus Christ central, 

  • avoid partisan messaging, 

  • focus on gratitude, humility, and dependence on God. 

A healthy tone is:

“We place our hope not in politics, but in God.”

1. Prayer of Humility & Surrender- Mary Carr

Scripture

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”
— James 4:8

Prayer Focus

  • Humility before God 

  • Repentance 

  • Personal surrender 

  • Renewed hunger for holiness 

Prayer Points

  • Ask God to reveal areas needing repentance. 

  • Surrender fears, pride, distractions, and bitterness. 

  • Pray for renewed passion for Christ. 

  • Invite the Holy Spirit to transform your heart.

2. Prayer for Families & Marriages- Bernadette Pingue

Scripture

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
— Joshua 24:15

Prayer Focus

  • Strong marriages 

  • Healing in families 

  • Salvation of children and prodigals 

  • Godly parenting 

Prayer Points

  • Pray for unity and healing in homes. 

  • Pray for children and youth to follow Christ boldly. 

  • Pray for restoration where relationships are broken. 

  • Pray for fathers and mothers to lead spiritually.

3. Prayer for the Church- Lloyd Jones

“We come to the unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord.”

-Ephesians 4:13

Prayer Focus

  • Spiritual awakening 

  • Unity among believers 

  • Holiness and truth 

  • Boldness in evangelism 

Prayer Points

  • Pray for pastors, elders, and ministry leaders. 

  • Pray for revival in local churches. 

  • Pray for wisdom, humility, and courage. 

  • Pray for people far from God to encounter Jesus

4. Prayer for the Community/Local Leaders – Pam Mikos

Scripture

“Let your light shine before others.”
— Matthew 5:16

Prayer Focus

  • Schools (teachers, principals, all administrators) (safety, wisdom)

  • First responders (police, fire fighters, ambulance paramedics, nurses, and doctors)

  • Local leaders

    • Governor, Mayors, Aldermen, judges, Senators, and Representatives

  • Businesses 

  • The hurting, homeless, and vulnerable 

Prayer Points

  • Pray for peace and protection in your city. 

  • Pray for those struggling with addiction, depression, and loneliness. 

  • Pray for teachers, police, firefighters, and healthcare workers. 

  • Pray that the church would serve the community with compassion of Christ. 

5. Prayer for the Nation- Nancy Tipitino

Scripture

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
— Psalm 33:12

Prayer Focus

  • Wisdom for leaders 

  • Justice and righteousness 

  • Spiritual renewal 

  • Mercy and healing 

Prayer Points

  • Pray for national repentance and humility. 

  • Pray for truth, integrity, and wisdom in leadership. 

  • Pray for protection of religious freedom. 

  • Pray for unity and healing across divisions. 

6. Prayer for Revival & Awakening- Beth Giazzon

Scripture

“Will You not revive us again?”
— Psalm 85:6

Prayer Focus

  • Salvation 

  • Revival among youth 

  • Fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit 

  • Bold proclamation of the Gospel 

Prayer Points

  • Pray for hearts to return fully to God. 

  • Pray for a renewed love for scripture and prayer. 

  • Pray for miracles, healing, and transformed lives. 

  • Pray for laborers to be sent into the harvest.
